Stonehenge
Today we went to Salisbury, England. The train ride to this town was about 2 hours long, so many people went for a walk to coffee to stretch their legs. After the walk we boarded a tour bus that was headed for Stonehenge and the Salisbury Cathedral. When we got to Stonehenge, we walked around the designated paths taking pictures of the stones. We then went to the visitor's center to eat lunch and look around the museum. We learned a lot about Stonehenge, such as that some of the stones came from the coast Wales. After looking around the museum a bit we boarded the tour bus back to Salisbury.
When we arrived in Salisbury we went straight to the cathedral. This is where one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta. We learned that this document was written in Latin and used a lot of abbreviations, making it difficult to read. After that we went to check out the oldest working clock, which would have been attached to a bell that would ring every hour. When we were finished at the cathedral, we wandered around Salisbury before heading back to Cardiff.
