Start Slow but Finish Fast
I was all pumped up for the game, since I had all morning to myself. I knew that I was up for a treat! After a long walk we made it to the Cardiff City Stadium to see Cardiff City FC. vs Sunderland, where about seventeen thousand fans came to watch the football match. Right before the start of the game, a group of us were very hungry but the line for the restaurants were long but someone pointed out "Costco" and we look up there it was from afar. You know the saying "Costco, keeps the cost low" and it sure did! To be frankly honest with you, I felt like I teleported to Washington because going inside of a Costco store felt like home. We also got to sneak some food in thanks to carrying our backpacks.
The first half of the game was an even match, since both teams had the same amount of possession however Cardiff City FC had more shots on goal compared to Sunderland. At the end of first half the score was 0-0. Coming in to second half, Cardiff City FC brought out more energy than Sunderland. Minutes in Cardiff city made their first goal, and within minutes one of the players received a red card. Due to circumstance beyond Sunderland's control, Sunderland is forced to play with one less player and they are also down by one. And again Cardiff City scored on the 55th, and on the 80th minute, where the Cardiff City Fans including me got up and started chanting "cheerio". As for Sunderland, they were now down by 3 with their fans cheering louder than before. Four minutes were added to the game; however, Cardiff City FC gave it their all till the very last whistle. During overtime few seconds before the refs called game, Cardiff City FC once again scored leaving the crowd on their feet. Even though Sunderland held most of the possession, they didn't finish fast ending the game with only three shots at goal as for Cardiff City FC had about 20 shots at goal.
Justice's reaction after Cardiff City FC scored their last goal on Sunderland.
