Stonehenge
Today we took a two hour train ride to the city of Salisbury. Salisbury is a medieval city that is a main stopping point for people on their way to Stonehenge. After grabbing some coffee we took a bus ride to Stonehenge. We learned Stonehenge was built so the sun would shine through the two largest rocks on the winter solstice. We had lunch at the visitors center after exploring the museum at the center.
After Stonehenge we took the bus back to Salisbury where we visited the Salisbury cathedral which was built in the 1200s. One of four copies of the Magna Carta is kept at the cathedral. Then we explored the city for a little bit. We then took the the train back to enjoy our last night in Cardiff.
