SATURDAY!!!

Time for the weekend!

After a long first week of adjusting to a new time zone, running around London, and seeing many great landmarks, museums, and companies, it was finally time for us to catch up on sleep and go explore!

A couple of us started off our Saturday morning with laundry at the Lancaster Laundrettes which was next to our hotel. So exciting... we then followed that up by returning to a chain restaurant called Nando's. It is Afro-Portuguese inspired and sells some of the best flavored chicken I have ever eaten. There isn't much to compare it to in the States, but it could definitely compete with other restaurants at home.

Later in the afternoon many of us went out to watch a football match. The two teams playing were the Queens Park Rangers and the MK Dons. It was very exciting, even though the home team lost. We all had a great time being a part of the soccer culture in the UK. The fans here are great and fun to watch. Even the away team had a large amount of fans come out and support.

After the game ended it was time to explore around the city. We ended up going to the Piccadilly Circus area. This area is more of a tourist shopping center. It has bright lights and many shops that are local and familiar from home. I need to go back for M&M World! So far the trip has been great and we can't wait to see what else this trip has to offer.

(Pictures will be added ASAP... Got to love this Wi-Fi)
