And now we're in London.

It took a while, to be sure, but we're here. We were delayed out of Spokane, and learned that the inside of a jet engine can get ice. They took about an hour to defrost the engine. So that was cool. We were delayed out of Sea-Tac, too. But in both cases, the pilots were able to get us back on time when we landed. So that was cool too.

Our only real goal on arriving was to stay awake as long as possible. We took a nice group walk around Hyde Park, including some good interactions with swans and ducks. When we returned, our hotel suggested a good Italian restaurant that would be able to seat 19 at late notice. Finally, many of us ended the evening at a local pub, catching the Tottenham v. Swansea football match.

It's been a long day, but it's great to be here finally.
